Recently, the list of selected teaching masters for the National "WR Program" was finalized, and Professor Li Zhenlin from Shanghai Theatre Academy was among those honored.
The National "WR Program" is a major talent project implemented at the national level. The "Teaching Master" component is a significant part of this talent system, exclusively targeting teachers of various levels and types across the country, with a focus on teaching and nurturing talents.
This marks the second selection from Shanghai Theatre Academy following Professor Lu Jun who was selected in 2022 as the very first one, signifying another high-quality achievement in STA's talent work.
Li Zhenlin, a second-level professor, Dean of the College of Film, Vice Chairman of the Academic Committee of the university, a specially appointed professor under the Ministry of Education's "Changjiang Scholars Program" and a recipient of the State Council's special government allowance. He is also the chief expert of major projects in art studies of the National Social Science Fund's, leader of national-level first-class undergraduate programs, and head of Shanghai's high-level local university key innovation team.
Over his thirty-five years of teaching career, Professor Li Zhenlin has consistently adhered to the essential mission of cultivating moral integrity and nurturing talents. Many of his students have become renowned young scholars and artists in their respective fields. His accomplishments in academic research and education are notable, having won the Ministry of Education's Higher Education Outstanding Scientific Research Award (Humanities and Social Sciences) on two occasions, and receiving national and Shanghai municipal teaching achievement awards on three occasions. He also has teaching achievements that include national-level demonstrative MFA online course, Shanghai key course and Shanghai excellent course.
