To thoroughly implement the spirit of the 20th National Congress of the Communist Party of China and the Third Plenary Session of the 20th CPC Central Committee, further uphold the fundamental task of fostering virtue through education, comprehensively enhance the level of undergraduate education and teaching, and solidly carry out the new round of undergraduate education and teaching audit and evaluation in 2025, the Shanghai Theatre Academy held the Undergraduate Education and Teaching Audit and Evaluation Kick-Off Meeting and Appointment Ceremony for Evaluation Experts on 5 December 2024.
Heads of relevant departments from the Shanghai Municipal Education Commission, experts from the Shanghai Education Evaluation Institute, and evaluation experts from sister institutions were invited to attend the meeting.
On behalf of all faculty and students, Xie Wei, Party Secretary of the Shanghai Theatre Academy, extended a warm welcome and heartfelt thanks to the Shanghai Municipal Education Commission, the Shanghai Education Evaluation Institute, and the evaluation expert group for their guidance.
Long Jiang, Dean of the School of Business Administration at the Shanghai University of International Business and Economics, and Dong Xue jing, Secretary of the Party Branch of the School of Arts and Sciences at the Shanghai Dianji University, accepted the appointment letters as evaluation experts issued by the Shanghai Theatre Academy.
At the meeting, Li Shitao, Deputy Director (Acting Director) of the Academic Affairs Office and Executive Deputy Leader of the Evaluation Working Group, reported on the development of the evaluation work at the Shanghai Theatre Academy.
Feng Hui, Director of the Shanghai Education Evaluation Institute, delivered a speech. Jiao Xiaofeng, Director of the Supervision Office of the Shanghai Municipal Education Commission, interpreted the audit and evaluation requirements from the aspects of macro policies, overall planning ideas, and specific work measures.
Huang Changyong, Deputy Party Secretary and President of the Shanghai Theatre Academy, delivered a mobilization speech.
The meeting also specifically arranged a special training session on undergraduate education and teaching audit evaluation, with Professor Long Jiang, who was appointed as an evaluation expert for the Shanghai Theatre Academy, giving the presentation.
Liu Qing, Vice President of the Shanghai Theatre Academy, presided over the meeting and delivered the closing summary speech.
The undergraduate education and teaching audit and evaluation is a great opportunity for the Shanghai Theatre Academy to enhance its education and teaching level and promote the development of STA. All faculty and students will make every effort to prepare for the audit and evaluation, demonstrate STA's style and strength in the best state, and continue to write a new chapter in the development of undergraduate education and teaching at the Shanghai Theatre Academy in the new journey of building a nation with strong education in the new ear.
