On 25 November 2024, Stephen Galloway, Dean of Chapman University Dodge College of Film and Media Arts, along with Senior Associate Dean Michael Kowalski and Associate Dean for Academic Affairs Pavel Jech, visited Shanghai Theatre Academy College of Film School for an exchange visit. They were welcomed by Dean Li Zhenlin, Party Secretary Han Yongsheng, Vice Dean Dong Jian, Deputy Party Secretary Wang Chunyun, Professor Wang Xufeng, and Lecturer Zheng Longwei from Shanghai Theatre Academy College of Film.

First, Dean Li Zhenlin, Party Secretary Han Yongsheng and their team took the guests from the Dodge College of Film and Media Arts on a tour of the school history exhibition at the 5A Experimental Building, which introduces the long-standing history of film education at Shanghai Theatre Academy. The guests then visited the exhibition of notable alumni and the award-winning works of faculty and students, which showcases the achievements of the Shanghai Theatre Academy College of Film alumni in the film and television industry and the practical works produced under the practice-oriented philosophy. The tour also included visits to the standard screening room, photography studio, dialogue recording studio, sound design studio, mixing studio, and virtual production laboratory. The rich history, abundant achievements of faculty and students, and advanced experimental facilities left a deep impression on the guests from the Dodge College of Film and Arts.

Subsequently, both parties engaged in a friendly and enthusiastic exchange in Room 601, North Wing, Building No.1, Changlin Road Campus. Each side introduced the basic situation of their own college. The dean and his deputies of Chapman University Dodge College of Film and Media Arts discussed recent changes, such as the shift from a three-year to a two-year graduate program, faculty development and the construction of world-class laboratories, which greatly interested Dean Li Zhenlin and other leaders of Shanghai Theatre Academy College of Film.
