On the evening of 16 November, the 37th China Film Golden Rooster Awards Ceremony and the closing ceremony of the 2024 China Golden Rooster and Hundred Flowers Film Festival were held in Xiamen, Fujian.
At this grand event, good news came again: Lei Jiayin, an alumnus of the Acting Department of the Shanghai Theatre Academy, won the highly coveted Best Actor award at the Golden Rooster Awards.
In September this year, Lei Jiayin won the Outstanding Actor award at the 34th TV Drama "Flying Apsaras Awards" for his outstanding performance in "A Lifelong Journey." Just two months later, Lei Jiayin once again received a heavyweight award in the Chinese film and television industry, making his alma mater extremely proud.
The work for which Lei Jiayin won the Golden Rooster Award is the film "Article 20," which was released during this year's Spring Festival. In the film, he plays the role of prosecutor Han Ming.
To date, Lei Jiayin has won the Best Actor award at the Golden Rooster Awards, the Outstanding Actor award at the Flying Apsaras Awards, the Best Actor award at the Golden Eagle Awards, and the Best Actor award at the Magnolia Awards, achieving a "Grand Slam" in his acting career. In "Article 20", Lei Jiayin's superb acting and precise portrayal brought the character of prosecutor Han Ming to life, leaving a deep impression on the audience. The jury's comment on this role was: "From difficult choices to inner awakening, Lei Jiayin interprets the character's mental journey amidst the conflicts of law, reason and emotion. His performance not only showcases the character's complex inner world, but also accurately conveys the profound themes and humanistic care embodied in the film."
