Teachers and students from the Shanghai Theatre Academy's College of Film returned with numerous awards from the 17th Shanghai University Student TV Festival

On 20 October 2024, the "17th Shanghai University Student TV Festival" concluded perfectly at the Shanghai Zero Bay Cultural and Art Centre. Students from the College of Film of the Shanghai Theatre Academy performed outstandingly in various competitions, achieving remarkable results. Many students and their guiding teachers from the Film Production Department, Film Directing Department, and Broadcasting and Hosting Arts Department went onto the stage to receive their awards.

In the "17th Shanghai University Student TV Festival All-Media Image Competition," student Sun Qian from the College of Film won the highest award—the Lilac Grand Prize. In the Mini Film Track, student He Xinyuan won the first prize, while Lin Zifeng, Chen Zibin and others also won the first prize. Niu Qinci won the second prize, and Chen Jie and others, along with Yi Sheng, won the third prize.

In the 17th Shanghai University Student TV Festival Host Competition, Bai Xinxin from the class of 2022 and Shi Zhihan from the class of 2023 won the second prize with a narrow margin. Zhong Yuzhu from the class of 2022 and He Zihong from the class of 2023 won the third prize. Additionally, Rong Jiahui from the class of 2022, who won the first prize in last year's competition, was invited to act as the host for this year's competition.

Professor Dong Jian, Deputy Dean of the College of Film of the Shanghai Theatre Academy, was invited to serve as a judge for this competition.

In the 17th Shanghai University Student TV Festival All-Media Image Competition, teachers Xiao Xiangning, Pan Ru, Wei Dongxiao, Wan Chuanfa, Wang Xufeng, Jiang Haiyang, Sha Yang and Liao Miaojing from the College of Film were awarded the title of Excellent Guiding Teacher. Also, in the "17th Shanghai University Student TV Festival Host Competition," teachers Dong Jian, Zhang Dapeng and Li Zepeng from the College of Film were awarded the title of Excellent Guiding Teacher.

Professor Pan Ru from the Shanghai Theatre Academy delivered a speech on stage as the guiding teacher for one of the award-winning works.
