"Laszlo Hudec" has been awarded "Outstanding Play" at 2nd National Small Theater Drama Showcase

On 13 September, the play "Laszlo Hudec," performed by a talented team of teachers and students from the Shanghai Theatre Academy, made its successful debut at the Suzhou Bay Grand Theatre as part of the Second National Small Theater Drama Showcase, earning the prestigious "Outstanding Play" award.

This significant literary and artistic project, "Laszlo Hudec," funded by the Shanghai Cultural Development Foundation, was penned by Associate Professor Guo Chenzi from the Department of Dramatic Literature at the Shanghai Theatre Academy and directed by Associate Professor Zhou Ke from the Department of Directing. The play was captivatingly performed by Li Chuanying, a teacher from the Department of Directing, alongside actors from the Shanghai Dramatic Arts Center and students from the Shanghai Theatre Academy.

"Laszlo Hudec" is inspired by the renowned architect of the last century, whose story is intricately intertwined with that of Shanghai. Hudec not only left behind an array of exquisite architectural masterpieces in Shanghai but also embodies the city's spirit of openness and inclusivity.
