Recently, the General Office of the Ministry of Education announced the results of the evaluations for various projects in the 7th National University Student Art Exhibition and Performance Event.
The National University Student Art Exhibition is held every three years. The theme of this year's exhibition is: Deepening Patriotic Sentiment, Cultivating Progressive Character. The exhibition closely revolves around this theme, showcasing the value pursuit of contemporary university students who align with the times, walk with the motherland, harbor patriotic feelings, and strive to build dreams; it demonstrates the idealistic, responsible, resilient, and hardworking spirit of contemporary university students; it highlights the noble aesthetic pursuit and high moral character of contemporary university students, characterized by beauty in mind, appearance, behavior, and language.
A total of 282 projects and over 7,400 teachers and students from various provinces (autonomous regions, municipality directly under the central government), the Xinjiang Production and Construction Corps, and the Hong Kong and Macau Special Administrative Regions participated in this exhibition.
In June this year, headed by Vice President Liu Qing, the delegation from the Shanghai Theatre Academy went to Xiangyang, Hubei Province, to present as an exemplary case at the "Excellent Case Report Conference on Reform and Innovation in Aesthetic Education in the New Era of Higher Education" during the exhibition. The dance "Southern Yangtze" was also performed as part of the excellent repertoire showcase.
In recent years, the Shanghai Theatre Academy has organically combined the fundamental task of moral education with the tradition of deepening patriotic sentiment, firmly establishing the educational philosophy that features the trinity of "value shaping, ability cultivation and knowledge imparting" and enhance the quality of education through the “integrated education in five areas".
The University Student Art Exhibition serves as an interactive platform for showcasing the achievements of aesthetic education in higher education, transforming and expressing students' artistic creativity. It plays a positive role in cultivating and enhancing students' aesthetic ability, humanistic quality, craftsmanship spirit, and innovation ability. The Shanghai Theatre Academy has actively participated in each exhibition and achieved excellent results, contributing youthful vigor to this national art event for university students.
