On the afternoon of 28 May 2024, the "Filmmakers in Prime of Youth" Shanghai Theatre Academy Award Ceremony was held at the New Theater on the Changlin Road Campus of the Shanghai Theatre Academy. The event comprised three parts: the first Shanghai Theatre Academy College of Film "Junxiang Awards," the seventh "Two Days" Film Festival, and the Formation Night of Shanghai Theatre Academy College of Film.
"Junxiang Award"
The first Shanghai Theatre Academy College of Film "Junxiang Award" is named after Zhang Junxiang, the founder of film education at the Shanghai Theatre Academy. The award was established to commemorate the predecessors and inspire future generations. Guests walked the red carpet, signed the signature wall, and took commemorative photos. In the foyer of the exhibition area, sponsors showcased professional film equipment and materials, interacted with students, and invited guests to experience the latest technology.

The 2024 "Filmmakers in Prime of Youth" Shanghai Theatre Academy Award Ceremony began with a vibrant and exciting opening dance. Attendees included leaders, experts, professors and teachers from the Shanghai Theatre Academy College of Film, as well as senior representatives from the industry. Li Zhenlin, Dean of the Shanghai Theatre Academy College of Film, delivered a speech, expressing gratitude for the strong support from colleagues in the film industry for the College of Films "debut" in the New Theater. He praised and recognized all young creators and encouraged the faculty and students of the College of Film to continue their dedication to filmmaking, create with heart, and maintain their passion for film.
"Two Days" Film Festival Award Conferring Moment
The "Two Days" Film Festival has been held since 2012, spanning 11 years, with thousands of teams participating and producing over 1,000 short films. Amid great anticipation, we witnessed the award conferring moment of the seventh "Two Days" Film Festival. The awards presented included: "Best Screenplay," "Best Performance," "Best Cinematography," "Best Sound," "Best Editing," "Best Visual Effects," "Best Director," "Audience Choice Award," and "Best Film," with a total of nine outstanding films receiving awards.
"Junxiang Awards" Award Conferring Moment
Amidst the vibrant atmosphere of dance, we welcomed the inaugural "Junxiang Awards" ceremony of the Shanghai Theatre Academy's College f Film. Film is the best annotation of youth, and youth is the most beautiful chapter of film. The graduates of Class of 2024 of the College of Film have used their talent and hard work to create films, exploring the essence of the world while nurturing their inner growth. A total of twelve awards were presented, including: "Best Screenplay," "Best Performance," "Best Cinematography," "Best Sound," "Best Editing," "Best Visual Effects," "Best Art Direction," "Best Original Composition," "Best Host," and "Best Picture."
These twelve awards represent the achievements and glory of the College of Film students, as well as their hopes and wishes for the future. Tonight is unforgettable, not just because of the weight of the honors, but because it carries the faith of a generation of young filmmakers. The stars shine brightly tonight, not just because dreams are luminous, but because this event brings together a collection of remarkable works. As each award was announced, the 2024 "Filmmakers in Prime of Youth" awards ceremony gradually came to a close. Han Yongsheng, Party Secretary of the College of Film at Shanghai Theatre Academy, delivered a speech encouraging all award-winning teams and creators to continue their efforts, fully utilizing the university’s and societal resources to create more outstanding works and contribute to the film industry. At the end of the event, all participants took a group photo to eternally capture this unforgettable moment.
“Two Days” gather the creativity and energy of film creators; STA witnesses the talent and growth of young filmmakers.
