On the eve of the Qingming Festival in 2024, key members of the Student Union and Graduate Student Union of Shanghai Theatre Academy visited the Longhua Martyrs' Cemetery to carry out the themed activity "Commemorating Revolutionary Martyrs on Qingming Festival to Forge the Spirit of China," in remembrance of the revolutionary heroes.
At Longhua Martyrs' Cemetery, the students from Shanghai Theatre Academy first offered flower baskets to the martyrs with great reverence.
Then, they entered the Longhua Martyrs Memorial Hall and, following the guide's footsteps, carefully listened to stories of the martyrs and reviewed the thrilling struggles of their predecessors, meticulously searching for traces of the years in every relic of the memorial hall.
Remembering the martyrs serves to draw more strength for moving forward from their legacy.
The students wrote their gratitude to the martyrs and their blessings for the motherland on wishing cards, which they hung on trees to shine like sunlight on our path ahead.
In recent years, every Qingming, Shanghai Theatre Academy organizes activities for the young students to commemorate the revolutionary martyrs, allowing youth to shine brighter in their beliefs through Shanghai's red cultural resources.
