On 2 December, during the 78th anniversary celebration of Shanghai Theatre Academy, the donation ceremony in honor of alumni and corporate donors was held in the Circular Conference Room of the International Conference Centre on the Changlin Road Campus. The donation ceremony was presided over by Han Yongsheng, Secretary of the General Party Branch of the Shanghai Theatre Academy College of Film. On behalf of all the teachers and students of the College of Film, Professor Li Zhenlin, Dean of the Shanghai Theatre Academy College of Film, expressed his sincere gratitude to the alumni and caring enterprises, believing that this donation will help the Shanghai Theatre Academy College of Film to better and faster accomplish the development task of "three basic completions" in the "14th Five-Year Plan" and strive to build an excellent film school of international standards.
Huang Changyong, President of the Shanghai Theatre Academy, unveiled the plaque for the Nanguang Lighting Technology Demonstration Base, and presented the equipment donation certificate to the representative of Guangdong Nanguang Film and Television Equipment Co Ltd.
Zhang Weiling, Vice President of the Shanghai Theatre Academy, unveiled the plaque of the Joint Teaching Base for Digital Film and Television Lighting, and presented the donation certificate to the representative of Shenzhen Aputure Innovative Technology Co Ltd.
Xu Yong, Director of the Party Committee Office and the President’s Office of Shanghai Theatre Academy and Secretary-General of the Shanghai Theatre Academy Alumni Association, unveiled the plaque of the Joint Teaching Base for Voice-Over Acting, and presented the donation certificates to the representatives of Qixiangtianwai Culture Communication Ltd and Xiangshan Culture Communication Ltd.
The donations and the inauguration of the three technology demonstration and joint teaching bases are an act of generosity by Shanghai Theatre Academy alumni to give back to their alma mater and famous film and television equipment companies to support higher film education, and is also a step-by-step result of STA College of Film’s continuous efforts to deepen the collaboration with the industry in terms of industry-university-research engagement.
