On 15 June 2023, the "2nd Summit Forum on Professional Chain Development of International Film Education", an official forum of the 25th Shanghai International Film Festival, was successfully held in the Circular Conference Room on the Changlin Road Campus of Shanghai Theatre Academy. This forum was jointly sponsored by the Shanghai International Film Festival and the Shanghai Theatre Academy College of Film, and undertaken by the Youth Image Communication Centre of the STA Film Academy.
This summit forum was on the theme of "Future Development of the Professional Chain of International Film Education", and was divided into the first and second halves. In the first half of the forum, exciting discussions were held on the “Interrelationship between High-quality International Film Festivals and High-quality Film Education and the “Cross-border Exchange and Cooperation of Young Film Talents. In the second half of the forum, discussions were held on the "Prospects for High-quality Development of Art Films" and the "Ways to Effectively Promote the Development of Cultural Soft Power through the Construction of the Film Discipline".
Experts and scholars attending the forum expressed that film education needs to keep up with the times, keep up with the pace of industry development and cultivate more film talents with innovative spirit and international perspective, thus contributing to the prosperity of the film industry. The Shanghai Theatre Academy will continue to be committed to in-depth cooperation with the Shanghai International Film Festival to promote the development of film education and the prosperity of the film industry.
