STA alumni won three acting awards in a week

On the evening of 17 June, the Golden Goblet Awards Ceremony of the 25th Shanghai International Film Festival (SIFF) was grandly held.


Hu Ge, the performance director of the Shanghai Theatre Academy Experimental Film Studio and famous actor, won the title of Best Actor for his performance in the film "All Ears".

This was another occasion in recent years when STA alumni had won a major performance award at a Class A international film festival since the Berlin International Film Festival and the Tokyo International Film Festival.


On 23 June, good news came again. In all awards of the Magnolia Awards of the 28th Shanghai Television Festival announced that night, STA alumni won another bumper harvest.


Lei Jiayin, an alumnus of Shanghai Theatre Academy, won the Best Actor in a Leading Role for his performance in "A Lifelong Journey". 

Wu Yue, an alumna of Shanghai Theatre Academy, won the Best Actress in a Leading Role for her performance in "Bright Future".

This was another occasion when STA alumni had won major acting awards since Yu Hewei and You Yong won the Best Actor in a Leading Role and the Best Actor in a Supporting Role respectively in the last Magnolia Awards selection.


"A Lifelong Journey" and "Bright Future" starring a number of STA alumni won the Best TV Series (China).

Medal of the Republic” and “Our Times”, for which Mao Weining, an alumnus of Shanghai Theatre Academy, was one of the directors, won the Grand Prix.

Sincere congratulations to the STA alumni who have won various awards, and wishing more STAers to continuously contribute excellent literary and artistic works to the times and the people, and to contribute their own strength to the construction of modern Chinese civilization.
