On 27 April 2023, the inaugural meeting of the “Original Aspiration Theory Society”, a Marxist theory society at the Shanghai Theatre Academy, was successfully held in the Smart Classroom of the STA Library. Hu Min, Deputy Party Secretary of the Shanghai Theatre Academy, Chen Min, Dean of the School of Marxism and Dean of the Department of Humanities and Social Sciences, Shi Huadong, Secretary of the Party Branch of the School of Marxism and the Department of Humanities and Social Sciences, and Wang Aona, the society’s advisor, attended the meeting.
At the inaugural meeting, Wang Aona, the society’s advisor, introduced the philosophy, purpose, and main activities of the society to the members. The society members present expressed their enthusiasm for participating in society’s activities, and shared their ideas for the future development of the society. At the end of the meeting, Hu Min, Deputy Party Secretary of the Shanghai Theatre Academy, announced the official establishment of the Chuxin Theory Society and put forward the expectations for the society.
The society members present stated that the society will actively carry out activities under the guidance of the society’s advisor, build a student society on Marxism with STA characteristics on the basis of studying the original works, and become an exchange platform for Marxism and the forward position for theoretical learning with university-wide influence.
