On the occasion of the upcoming “May Fourth” Youth Day, the 2nd Students’ Party History Knowledge Competition of Shanghai Theatre Academy was held on the afternoon of 27 April 2023 in the Smart Classroom on the first floor of the Huashan Road Campus Library. This knowledge competition was jointly organized by the School of Marxism, the Student Work Department, and the Youth League Committee of Shanghai Theatre Academy. Hu Min, Deputy Party Secretary of the Shanghai Theatre Academy, and relevant leaders from the School of Marxism, the Department of Humanities and Social Sciences and the Student Work Department attended the event. All teachers from the School of Marxism, as well as some teachers from the Student Affairs Office and counselors from some colleges and departments, were present to observe the competition.
This knowledge competition was attended by a four-person team from each of the eight major colleges and departments and, in the meantime, each college/department also sent cheerleaders to provide on-site support for its own team. Finally, the team from the College of Creative Studies won the first prize in this competition, the team from the College of Film won the second prize, and the teams from the Department of Dramatic Literature and the College of Dance won the third prize, whilst the four teams from the Department of Acting, the Department of Directing, the Department of Stage Design and the Department of Traditional Chinese Opera won the excellence prize.
The competition lasted for nearly three hours, and the atmosphere on site was very lively and enthusiastic. At the end of the event, Deputy Party Secretary Hu Min spoke highly of the knowledge competition, and expressed that students should learn from participating in the event so as to gain more genuine knowledge and profound insight.
