Recently, an eight-member delegation from the CPC Sanming Municipal Committee visited the Shanghai Theatre Academy College of Film for a study and fact-finding mission, which was led by Chen Lieping, Standing Committee Member and Director of the Publicity Department of the CPC Sanming Municipal Committee, Zhang Changping, Secretary of the CPC Taining County Committee, and Jiang Min, Standing Committee Member and Secretary of the Political and Legal Affairs Commission of the CPC Taining County Committee. Hu Min, Deputy Party Secretary of the Shanghai Theatre Academy, warmly received the guests, accompanied by Li Zhenlin, Dean of the Shanghai Theatre Academy College of Film, Han Yongsheng, Secretary of the General Party Branch of the College, Dong Jian, Vice Dean of the College, and Wang Chunyun, Deputy Secretary of the General Party Branch of the College.
Taining County, Sanming Municipality is a designated filming location for film and television in China and one of the three major film and television bases in Fujian Province. At present, it is home to 71 film and television companies, and has hosted the filming of 26 film and television works. 19 film and television universities have established cooperation relationships with Taining in terms of practical training and practice. And, it has successfully held the Golden Rooster and Hundred Flowers Film Festival "Fuying·Taining Night" in Xiamen for two consecutive years.
Accompanied by Hu Min and the leadership team of the STA College of Film, the municipal and county leaders from the Sanming Municipality toured the teaching, production, screening and broadcasting facilities. They spoke highly of the advanced education philosophy, high-quality teaching staff and sophisticated technological conditions of the Shanghai Theatre Academy College of Film.
The two sides discussed their respective advantages in the film and television industry, and expressed the intent for active cooperation in the future.
