On 19 March 2023, the national final of the 13th "Challenge Cup" China University Student Entrepreneurship Plan Competition successfully concluded in Beijing. The Shanghai Theatre Academy (STA) won the gold medal in this national-level competition.
The project for which the Shanghai Theatre Academy won the gold medal was "Deep into the Drama - Immersive Dramatic Interaction with Red Culture" which participated in the "Cultural Creativity and Regional Cooperation Group" of this competition.

"Deep into the Drama" is a comprehensive project that integrates the IP customization, operation, promotion and optimization services of immersive interactive plays and immersive drama-based party classes. The "Deep into the Drama" project was incubated from the University Student Innovation and Entrepreneurship Competition of the Shanghai Theatre Academy, and underwent the tests of the "Challenge Cup" competitions at the municipal and national levels. During the entire process, it received the meticulous guidance of experts, scholars and entrepreneurial mentors within and without the school. The success of "Deep into the Drama" was the result of STA’s education model that integrates specialty training with innovation and entrepreneurship, as well as the result of the joint efforts of relevant functional offices, colleges and departments of the school.
In the future, the "Deep into the Drama" team will continue to work hard in the field of red culture, taking this as the starting point. The Shanghai Theatre Academy will also continue to deeply integrate innovation and entrepreneurship education into the entire process of art talent cultivation, continue to explore in such aspects as organizational assurance, innovation and entrepreneurship education and innovation and entrepreneurship services, actively promote the innovation-driven development and entrepreneurship-driven employment, and cultivate more high-quality and compound talents in artistic innovation and entrepreneurship.
The "Challenge Cup" Chinese University Student Entrepreneurship Plan Competition was launched by the Central Committee of the Communist Youth League in 1999 and is held every two years. This year, the 13th "Challenge Cup" Chinese University Student Entrepreneurship Plan Competition was hosted by the Communist Youth League Central Committee, the Ministry of Education, the Ministry of Human Resources and Social Security, the China Association for Science and Technology, the National Federation of Students, and the Beijing Municipal People's Government, and organized by the Beijing University of Technology, the Communist Youth League Beijing Municipal Committee and the Fangshan District People's Government of Beijing. A total of 154 gold medal projects, 309 silver medal projects, and 1,079 bronze medal projects were selected through the preliminary competitions at the university level, the semi-finals at the provincial level, the preliminary round of the national finals, and the final round of the national finals.
