On the morning of 18 February, the 2nd International Art Education Forum was successfully held at the Beijing International Convention Centre. This forum was one of the important events of the 23rd China Annual Conference & Expo for International Education, and was jointly hosted by the Professional Committee for International Art Education of the China Education Association for International Exchange and the School of Arts of the Peking University, the National Research Base for Cultural Exchange with Foreign Countries of the Peking University, the Shanghai Theatre Academy and the Lu Xun Academy of Fine Arts.
The theme of this forum was "Art Education and Cross-cultural Understanding", and the forum was presided over by Professor Lin Yi, an endowed professor at the School of Arts of the Peking University and Chairman of the Professional Committee for International Art Education. As an institutional council member of the Professional Committee, the Shanghai Theatre Academy was invited to attend the forum. Professor Yang Yang, Vice President of the Shanghai Theatre Academy, delivered a speech at the opening ceremony of the forum and delivered a keynote speech entitled "Shanghai Theatre Academy and Chinese Drama Education in the New Century".
At the forum, 14 experts and scholars from art universities and institutions at home and abroad delivered keynote speeches. In the mid of warm exchanges among the participants, the 2nd International Art Education Forum concluded successfully.
