The Shanghai Theatre Academy and the National Centre for the Performing Arts signed a strategic cooperation agreement on 24 February. At the same time, the National Centre for the Performing Arts and the Shanghai Grand Theatre Art Center also signed a strategic cooperation agreement. On behalf of the three organizations, the signing ceremony was attended by Wang Ning, Secretary of Party Leadership Group and President of the National Centre for the Performing Arts, Wang Cheng, Member of Party Leadership Group and Vice President of the National Centre for the Performing Arts, Xie Wei, Party Secretary of the Shanghai Theatre Academy, Huang Changyong, Deputy Party Secretary and President of the Shanghai Theatre Academy, and Zhang Songhua, Party Secretary and President of the Shanghai Grand Theater Art Centre. Shen Wei, Secretary of the CPC Shanghai Municipal Committee for Education and Health Work, Gao Yunfei, Deputy Director-General of the Publicity Department of the CPC Shanghai Municipal Committee and Director of the Shanghai Municipal Film Bureau, and other leaders witnessed the signing.

Over the years, the Shanghai Theatre Academy has actively cooperated with top art institutions, built platforms for the training and artistic practice of high-end talents, and maintained close cooperative relations with the National Centre for the Performing Arts and the Shanghai Grand Theater Art Center.


The "China Theatre Development Research Centre", which is jointly operated by the Shanghai Theatre Academy and the National Centre for the Performing Arts, has achieved fruitful theoretical and practical results in academic research and demonstration of research topics.

After the signing of this contract, the Shanghai Theater Academy will carry out in-depth collaboration with the National Centre for the Performing Arts on the existing basis to jointly build and develop the platform for art creation display and performance, the practice platform for teachers and students in colleges and universities, the platform for art popularization and education, and the platform for art research projects, so as to build an even larger stage for the inheritance and development of Chinese culture and the growth and progress of art talents.
