A total of four projects from Shanghai-based higher education institutions have been selected into the "2023 Excellent Projects of Ideological and Political Work in Higher Education Institutions", one of which is the "Drama + Ideological and Political Education" Model of Cultivating People through Culture of the Shanghai Theatre Academy.
The "drama + ideological and political" model of cultivating people through culture refers to the model of ideological and political work for students that has been developed by the Shanghai Theatre Academy on the basis of its disciplinary background, and by introducing advanced concepts and methods of such subjects as drama in education, applied drama, performance studies etc into ideological and political education, integrating the school's drama education and creative performance elements, and identifying the conjunction points of ideological and political work for students.
The "drama + ideological and political education" model of cultivating people through culture takes moral education as the fundamental task. in accordance with the unique working methods of “drama + ideological and political education”, it explores to organically integrate moral education and aesthetic education by taking the drama-based party lessons, story theatre and red cultural creation as the brands and by relying on such platforms as the “drama + ideological and political education” counselors’ studio and the “drama+” cultural and creative practice base, thus achieving the educational effect of enlightening and nourishing the heart, cultivating a good mind and influencing people.
This model has the following remarkable characteristics:
