On 10 December, the 2022 “Dramatic Arts” Young Scholars Forum was successfully held on via Tencent Meeting. Professor Huang Changyong, President of the Shanghai Theatre Academy and Director of the Editorial Committee of “Dramatic Arts”, attended the opening ceremony and delivered a speech. Professor Yang Yang, Vice President of the Shanghai Theatre Academy and Editor-in-Chief of “Dramatic Arts”, delivered a speech at the closing ceremony. Professor Li Wei, Deputy Editor-in-Chief of “Dramatic Arts”, and Research Fellow Ji Min, Head of the Editorial Office of “Dramatic Arts”, chaired the morning session and afternoon session of the forums respectively. Eight young scholars from the Nanjing University, the Nanjing Xiaozhuang Academy, the Qingdao University, the Zhejiang Conservatory of Music, and the Shanghai Theatre Academy read out their papers. Professor Yuan Guoxing from the South China Normal University, Professor Zhu Hengfu from the Shanghai Normal University, Professor He Chengzhou from the Nanjing University, and Professor Gong Baorong from the Shanghai Theatre Academy made brilliant comments respectively.
This was the third time that the Editorial Office of “Dramatic Arts” had held such a forum. “Drama Arts” is an influential academic journal in the domestic theatre circle, with sufficient contributions, and the acceptance rate is maintained at about 10% of the contributions received. Such a forum has been welcomed by the participating young scholars. At each forum, there were hundreds of scholars attending online to observe.
