Joint realism episode showcase by students of BA Directing 2020 and BA Stage Design 2020 is successfully held
At the end of 2022, the Shanghai Theatre Academy (STA) has just entered the early winter of the 77th year since its inception. The students of Year 2020 of the two national first-class undergraduate specializations in our university, namely, the specialization of directing for theatre, film and television and the specialization of stage design for theatre, film and television stage, made their first joint showcase. It was also the first time that the New Media Smart Lighting Laboratory of STA had been opened to the audience as the venue for a showcase of teaching result.
On 5 December, Xie Wei, Party Secretary of STA, Liu Qing, Vice President of STA, Shen Liang, Director of the Academic Affairs Office, and Wu Aili, Director of the Planning Office, as well as members of the leadership teams and instructors of the production from the Department of Directing and the Department of Stage Design, observed the rehearsal performance. With the cooperation of all teachers and students of the Department of Stage Design, the showcase by the students of BA Directing 2020 was a complete success and won unanimous praise from the leaders, teachers and students present. After the performance, the students also summarized the objectives and points of innovation of this interdisciplinary cooperation.
