In November 2022, the 9th China Alliance of Theatre Higher Educational Institutes Conference and the 3rd College Students' Theatre Show Event, a showcase of original drama highlights sponsored by the China Alliance of Theatre Higher Educational Institutes and undertaken by the Jilin University of Arts, was held online. The theme of this showcase was the original drama highlights, with ten excellent works from member colleges and universities across the country meeting with the audience on the cloud, thus providing the experience of a drama journey and an enjoyable audio-visual feast.

Among these works, "Who Stole My Sleep" (instructor: Zhang Jialei) performed by the students of BA Directing 2021 was successfully shortlisted. This play was an original work of the class of BA Film and TV Directing 2017. It was once selected as a project funded by the Shanghai Cultural Development Foundation, and it won a lot of praise during the showcase at the time. Winning three major awards in succession at this event was a full recognition of the unremitting efforts of the teachers and students of the Department of Directing and the outcomes of thinking of the crew on social phenomena, and was an all-round recognition of the spiritual outlook of the students of the Shanghai Theatre Academy.
