The results of the Shanghai Division Finals of the 8th China International "Internet Plus" University Students Innovation and Entrepreneurship Competition were announced recently. After intense competition, the Shanghai Theatre Academy (STA) won one Gold Award, one Bronze Award and eight Honorary Mention Awards. The project instructors Jiang Tao, Shen Liang and Peng Yongwen won the Excellent Instructor Award. This achievement was the best result in the all "Internet plus" University Students Innovation and Entrepreneurship Competition Shanghai Division that STA had participated in.
The 8th China International "Internet Plus" University Students Innovation and Entrepreneurship Competition, with the theme of "Dare to Innovate, Be Good at Creating", had more than 26,000 main track projects and more than 110,000 participants.
As early as in March, the Innovation and Entrepreneurship Working Group of Shanghai Theatre Academy made arrangements for this year's innovation and entrepreneurship activities to be jointly organized by the Academic Affairs Office, the Graduate School and the Student Work Office, including the “Innovation and Entrepreneurship Moments" series of activities every Thursday afternoon, and the "Innovation and Entrepreneurship Competition for Students of Shanghai Theatre Academy" to be held at the same time. The purpose was to optimize the “Internet Plus” competition projects through a combination of entrepreneurship and innovation training, competition simulation camp, internal competition and one-on-one guidance by experts.
More than two months of Innovation and Entrepreneurship Moment activities cultivated a large number of students who were interested in innovation and entrepreneurship. A total of 405 projects signed up for the 8th China International Internet Plus University Students Innovation and Entrepreneurship Competition, and 1,634 students actually participated, setting a new high in the number of projects and participants in all previous years. After the selection through STA’s own innovation and entrepreneurship competition, a total of 10 teams stood out and were recommended to the municipal-level competition, and finally achieved excellent results.
The year 2022 is a breakthrough year for the innovation and entrepreneurship work at STA. The university has vigorously promoted the construction of entrepreneurship and innovation courses and the construction of the teaching staff. Through such measures as improving the assessment and award system for innovation and entrepreneurship work and opening compulsory postgraduate courses in innovation and entrepreneurship, the participation scale for competitions such as "Internet Plus", "Challenge Cup" and "China Innovation Wings" has reached a record high. On the basis of new breakthroughs achieved, the university will constantly summarize experience and actively integrate itself into strategies such as rejuvenating China through science and education, reinvigorating China through human resource development, and innovation-driven development.
