Teachers and students of Shanghai Theatre Academy warmly and enthusiastically discuss General-Secretary Xi Jinping’s report to the 20th CPC National Congress

On 16 October, teachers and students of Shanghai Theatre Academy watched the live broadcast of the opening ceremony of the 20th National Congress of the Communist Party of China (CPC) in various campuses.

At the opening ceremony, General-Secretary Xi Jinping, on behalf of the 19th CPC Central Committee, made a report entitled "Holding High the Great Banner of Socialism with Chinese Characteristics and Working Together to Build a Socialist Modern Country in an All-round Way".

Immediately after listening to the report, leaders, cadres, teachers and students of STA warmly and enthusiastically discussed the report. Among them, Xie Wei, who is party secretary of STA and a delegate to the 12th CPC Shanghai Municipal Congress, Huang Changyong, who is deputy secretary and president of STA and a member of the CPPCC Shanghai Municipal Committee, Dai Ping, who is former deputy party secretary of STA and winner of the title of "Advanced Individual of Retired Cadres in Shanghai", Yao Kougen, who is a retired teacher, Zhou Peisong, who is a retired teacher with the experience of participating in the Triangle Hill battle, Lu Jun, who is director of the STA’s Academic Committee and winner of the National Teaching Achievement Award, Zhi Yunbo, who is deputy director of STA’s Scientific Research Office and winner of the title of "Best Young Scholar of Social Sciences in Shanghai", Fang Jun, who is deputy director of the Publicity Office of, deputy party secretary of the Creative Studies College and winner of the title of “Outstanding CPC Member in Shanghai", Hu Zuo, who is deputy party secretary and vice dean of the Stage Design Department and winner of the" Baosteel Excellent Teacher Award", Zhang Lin, who is party secretary and vice dean of the Dance College, secretary of the Teachers’ Party Branch and a “double leader”, Li Dongmei, who is director of STA’s Student Affairs Office and Armed Forces Office, Li Zhenlin, who is chairman of the STA Committee of China Democratic League and dean of the Fill College, and Li Zhijuan, executive chairman of STA’s Graduate Student Association, all shared their thoughts and feelings.
