On the morning of 1 October, more than 100 teachers and students of Shanghai Theatre Academy (STA) gathered at the Changlin Road Campus for the National Day flag raising ceremony in celebration of the 73rd birthday of the People’s Republic of China.
Xie Wei, party secretary of STA, Zhang Weiling, deputy secretary and vice president of STA, and heads of relevant functional offices and various colleges and departments attended the National Day flag-raising ceremony together with representatives of teachers and students to witness this solemn moment.
Four students who had retired from the army and returned to STA escorted the national flag to the flag-raising podium. In the majestic national anthem, the five-star red flag was rising slowly to, which was particularly bright in the blue sky.
This year is also the year of the 20th CPC National Congress and the 100th anniversary of the founding of the Chinese Communist Youth League. At the flag raising ceremony, teachers and students from the College of Creative Studies, the College of Chinese Opera, the College of Film and the College of Dance expressed the great joy and keen anticipation of teachers and students of STA in the artistic forms of singing, Peking Opera, recitation and dancing.
