On 19 August 22, as the Shanghai part of the “Power of Editing” Forum of the 12th Beijing International Film Festival, the Seminar on "Shaping Spirit • Nurturing Technology • Supporting Creation: Short Film, Miniseries and Short Video Talent Training" was held online. This event was jointly organized by the Short Film and Short Video Art Committee of China Cinema Editors Association, the Film College of Shanghai Theatre Academy and the Shanghai Vancouver Film School of Shanghai University. The main creators of some short films and short videos selected in the annual list of most watched works, including several from the Shanghai Theatre Academy, were invited to share their insight. Experts and scholars at the meeting conducted in-depth discussions and made comments on relevant topics in an interactive fashion.
The meeting was presided over by Associate Professor Xiao Xiangning and Associate Professor Liao Zhenjing from the Film College of Shanghai Theatre Academy. Professor Zhang Gedong, chair of the Short Film and Short Video Art Committee of China Cinema Editors Association and professor at the Animation and Digital Art College of Communication University of China, Professor Li Zhenlin, dean of the Film College of Shanghai Theatre Academy and vice president of the China Film Literature Association, Associate Professor Chen Xiaoda, executive director of the Short Film and Short Video Art Committee of China Cinema Editors Association and vice dean of the Shanghai Vancouver Film School of Shanghai University, Pan Chaoyue, head of Huawei’s Image Branding and other experts from the film and television education sector and image industry attended and spoke at the meeting.
