From 24 to 26 August 2022, sponsored by the Graduate School of Shanghai Theatre Academy and jointly organized by the Songjiang Incubation Base of Shanghai Theatre Academy for Innovation and Entrepreneurship of College Students, the Songjiang District Theatre Association for Children and Teenagers and the Lu Jun Drama Education Centre, the “Expert Seminar of the Shanghai Theatre Academy on the Cultivation of Doctoral Programs & Artistic Practice” was successfully held in Songjiang.
On the afternoon of the 24th, the expert seminar on the construction of doctoral programs was held in an atmosphere of enthusiastic discussions. At the meeting, more than 10 experts including Lu Jun, Su Chen, Yi Tianfu, Yao Kougen and Xu Yu etc expressed their views on the overall thinking, teaching arrangements and training program design for the construction of doctoral programs in theatrical arts. They talked together about academic theories and made suggestions for the construction of doctoral programs. Wen Tao, deputy director of the Graduate School, Li Shitao, deputy director (on secondment) of the Graduate School, Guo Tian, head of doctoral programs, and some doctoral students participated in the event.
The main activities of artistic practice undertaken by the teachers and students included: participating in a special lecture with the theme of "Several Highlights in the History of Songjiang" given by Ou Yue, a senior editor; having a face-to-face talk with the mentors at the practice base for the cultivation of doctoral programs in theatrical arts at the Shanghai Theatre Academy; observing the opening ceremony of the 7th Short Plays Playwriting Workshop for Schools in Shanghai & the 1st Advanced Training Program for Core Teachers of Drama for Children and Teenagers in Songjiang District; a tour of the Practice Base for the Cultivation of Doctoral Programs in Theatrical Arts of the Shanghai Theatre Academy.
The three-day “Expert Seminar of the Shanghai Theatre Academy on the Cultivation of Doctoral Programs & Artistic Practice” event concluded with great success.
