“Research on the Development Strategies of the Theatre, Film and Television Major of the Shanghai Theatre Academy – Seminar on Actors Training for Acting Students of Year 1980” will be held at the Huashan Road Campus of the Shanghai Theatre Academy on 22 October 2022.
The year of 2022 marks the 77th anniversary of the founding of the Shanghai Theatre Academy, and also marks the 77th year of the inclusive and progressive development of the Acting Major. In order to summarize the excellent tradition and experience of teaching, clarify the evolution of the realism-based Stanislavski Performance System in China, incorporate the essence of actors training methods in the world, and explore a future-oriented talent training system for theatre, film and television performance professionals with Chinese characteristics and STA features, the Seminar on Actors Training for Acting Students of Year 1980 will be held as one of a series of activities under the title of Research on the Development Strategies of the Theatre, Film and Television Acting Major of the Shanghai Theatre Academy, so as to sort out the law of successful actors training and practice through the research and discussion on its educational concept, teaching contents and training methods with a view to promoting the development of the Theatre, Film and Television Acting Major of the Shanghai Theatre Academy and applying it in the optimization of the talent training system for actors.
This seminar is sponsored by the Shanghai Theatre Academy, and organized by its Acting Department and International Performing Arts Research Center. Experts and teachers of actors training and education from the Shanghai Theatre Academy, outstanding graduates of the Acting Department, and researchers of performance theories from across the country will gather together to carry out academic discussions in an online and offline mixed mode.
