On the morning of 28 December, the Shanghai Theatre Academy held the 2018 year-end working meeting on internal control and audit in the conference room on the first floor of the Foxi Building. Party Secretary Lou Wei, President Huang Changyong, Chief Accountant Zhang Jiachun, the party and administrative heads of the various departments of the school, as well as members of the internal control group from the Organization department, the Finance Department and the Office of Party Committee/President’s Office participated in the meeting. The meeting was chaired by Chief Accountant Zhang Jiachun.
Chief Accountant Zhang Jiachun first affirmed the results achieved through the efforts of the members of the middle management present at the meeting in the past year. She pointed out that in the face of rectification after inspection and audit, school goals and development, and construction of a high-level university, how to be more standardized in the process of school development is the work we need to further promote.
At the meeting, Chen Yun of the Organization Department, Lu Hailian of the Audit Office and Bi Tianrui of the Finance Department respectively gave briefings and introductions on relevant situations, information and requirements. Chen Jianian and Zhang Yunlei shared what they had learnt through the audit process on behalf of the heads of the audited departments, fully recognizing the role of audit in standardizing and upgrading the departmental management. Chief Accountant Zhang Jiachun made key supplementary and explanatory comments on each of these talks.
Party Secretary Lou Wei said that since the appointment of the chief accountant, there has been noticeable progress in the finance and audit work of the school, however, it is not enough in terms of the new requirements in the new era. We should make full use of internal control and audit as the means and methods to improve management awareness and actively avoid risks.
President Huang Changyong affirmed that the work of finance, audit and internal control has played a significant role in school reform and development. He pointed out that we should change the current situation of passively responding to the rectification and should guard against small but creeping malpractice and prevent similar problems from happening again. We should start from proactively improving the systems to further improve the innovative system process specific to an art university and, at the same time, strengthen the execution and standardize the operation.
