The 10th General Assembly of the Shanghai Writers' Association was held on the morning of 17 December 2018. The general assembly elected the 10th Council of the Shanghai Writers’ Association and the new presidium of the Shanghai Writers’ Association. Wang Anyi was re-elected as Chairwoman. Wang Wei, Ma Wenyun and Sun Ganlu were elected Full-time Vice Chairmen of the Shanghai Writers' Association. Vice-president Yang Yang of the Shanghai Theatre Academy and seven other experts and scholars were elected Part-time Vice Chairmen.
