On the afternoon of 11 December 2018, the Research Division of the Shanghai Theatre Academy held a special survey meeting attended by the leaders of research projects in the Foxi Building. Zhi Yunbo, Deputy Director of Research Division, chaired the meeting, and Yang Yang, Vice President of Shanghai Theatre Academy, attended the meeting. The meeting aimed to improve the research management ability and comprehensive service level of the Shanghai Theatre Academy. Bi Tianrui, Director of Finance Division, introduced the management methods of research funds. The leaders of provincial, ministerial and national research projects from the various departments and colleges spoke freely about the management issues and practical problems encountered in carrying out research projects.
Vice President Yang asked the project leaders present one by one about the progress of their projects. Finally, Vice President Yang made a concluding speech. He pointed out that the Shanghai Theatre Academy ranks the first among art universities in China in terms of the number of research projects, however, on the basis of the information from the recent feedback conference on classification evaluation of universities and colleges in Shanghai and the information from the national conference on subject evaluation of higher education institutions, there is still a big gap between where the Shanghai Theatre Academy is at now and the requirements of the construction of high-level universities, which requires all of staff of the Shanghai Theatre Academy to work together to overcome difficulties and make continuous achievements in the course of progression.
