On 11 October 2018, the opening ceremony of the new faculty and staff training program 2108 of the Shanghai Theatre Academy (STA) was held in the conference room of the Foxi Building on Huashan Road Campus. About 70 new faculty and staff members recruited in the last three years participated in the opemimg ceremony presided over by Hu Min, Deputy Party Secretary of STA. Lou Wei, Party Secretary of STA, gave a themetic lecture at the opening ceremony.
At the opening ceremony, Party Secretary Lou Wei reviewed the development course and historical mission of STA, and shared with the participants the future development goals and strategic plans of STA in the context of the national strategy and the spirit of Shanghai, as well as on the basis of a summary of the progress and achievements of STA in recent years.
Then, three old and new teachers gave speeches. As an old teacher, Professor Lu Jun shared his experience with the new teachers, which benefited everyone greatly. Two new teachers, Shao Min and Liu Yingying, expressed their expectations and prospects for working at STA as a full-time teacher and a student counselor respectively.
The training program was jointly organized by the Teacher Affairs Department of the CPC STA Committee and the Personnel Department and will run for two months. It covers the topics of "Teacher Ethics", "Master Lectures", "Personnel Policies", "Discipline Construction and Scientific Research Management", "Teaching Affairs", "Financial Management", "Foreign Affairs and International Exchange" and "Disciplines on Clean and Honest Administration" etc.
