On 2 and 4 October, the Shanghai Theatre Academy (STA) held two successive meetings to promote the construction of a high-level local university, focusing on the deployment of the fulfillment declaration work in various aspects on the construction of a local high-level university. All STA leaders, heads of some colleges and departments, discipline leaders and heads of relevant functional offices attended the above-mentioned meetings respectively.
At the meetings, Yang Yang, Vice President of STA, conveyed the spirit of the Shanghai Municipal Education Commission’s initiation meeting on the second round of high-level local university construction and the spirit of the Ministry of Education’s promotion meeting on the "double-first-class" construction. Zhang Jiachun, Chief Financial Officer of STA, introduced the compilation requirements, guiding principles, content design and filling procedures of the fulfillment declaration scheme. Huang Changyong, President of STA, elaborated on the overall idea of the construction of a high-level local university. He emphasized the important supporting role of building an innovation team in the construction of a high-level university. He called on the whole university to exert the collective wisdom and achieve collective results of excellence so as to lay a foundation for the 5th round of discipline evaluation in 2020 and for the medium and long-term goals set by the 2nd Congress of CPC STA Committee. Lou Wei, Party Secretary of STA, delivered an important speech at the meeting.
Besides, the experts and some of the discipline leaders put forward constructive suggestions in the context of their respective fields, and the heads of relevant functional offices provided the briefings on such matters as the declaration of the innovation team and the time for proposal submission etc.
