On the afternoon of 10 September, the 2018 Teachers' Day Celebration event of the Shanghai Theatre Academy (STA) was held at the STA Experimental Theater. STA leaders, representatives of the retired STA officials, teachers and staff of the various colleges, departments and functional offices, as well as all students newly enrolled in 2018, participated in the event. The event was presided over by Hu Min, Deputy Secretary of CPC STA Committee.

The event began officially in the sound of the vigorous and inspiring national anthem. First, in the award presentation ceremony, Lou Wei, Secretary of CPC STA Committee, took the stage to read out the name list of teachers and staff who had worked at STA for 30 years (25 years for female) and presented the certificates to the representatives of these teachers and staff as a token of appreciation for their hard work and regretless efforts at STA over the years. Liu Qing, Vice President of STA, read out the name list of winners of the 2017 Shanghai Municipal Teaching Achievement Award and presented the awards to the winners.

After the award presentation ceremony, Lou Wei, Secretary of CPC STA Committee, delivered a speech. On behalf of the CPC STA Committee and the STA administration, he expressed his Teachers’ Day congratulations to all teachers and staff of STA, and also put forward the expectations and requirements for future work to the teachers and staff.

After that, all attendees watched the recital sitcom "Be a Good Teacher" together. The play was elaborately prepared and rehearsed by the teachers and students under the organization of the Teacher Affairs Department and Student Affairs Department of the CPC STA Committee as well as the STA Youth League Committee during the summer vacation.

Last but not least, the representatives of the newly joined teachers' made the solemnly swear, led by Yin Tianfu, Standing Committee Member and Director of United Front Work Department of CPC STA Committee and Dean of Stage Design Department. Hu Min, Deputy Secretary of CPC STA Committee, made the concluding remarks at the end of the event.
