First of all, President Huang Changyong, on behalf of STA, expressed a warm welcome to the graduates for coming, and gave them a brief introduction about the development of STA and the progress of the construction of the new campus. This class was the last undergraduate class of the broadcasting and professional hosting specialization which remained at STA’s Huashan Road campus to complete their studies. At that time, there were only about 1,000 of the undergraduate students, while there are now about 1,800 undergraduate students and the teaching space and facilities are already insufficient. Now, the new campus under construction at the Pujiang Town will improve this situation with new teaching buildings of much larger space. President Huang Changyong expressed the welcome for the graduates to visit the new campus when they have a chance and the welcome for them to come back to be involved in or support the business start-up by students, and he hoped that the alumni will be able to maintain interaction and develop together with the alma mater.

Li Zhenlin, Dean of the STA College of Film and Television and Dean of the STA Graduate School, has been among the teaching staff since the very first undergraduate class of the broadcasting and professional specialization and is therefore very familiar with many of the graduates. He said that this specialization of STA has produced quite a number of famous radio and TV hosts and stars and that as we often say, "Today I am proud of STA and tomorrow STA will be proud of me". He also expressed the welcome for the graduates to come back to visit more often.

Zhao Yunying, Director of the STA Creation Center and Deputy Dean of the STA College of Film and Television, said that this was the first cohort of graduates that he had seen off since he began to work at STA and he can still remember what some of them looked like at that time. He said that these 10 years for the graduates were the 10 years of the biggest change in life. He extended the welcome for the graduates to come back to participate in the reporting performances of the current students and, even when there are no special occasions, come back to see if they can be of any help to the alma mater or if the alma mater can be of any help to them. No matter how far away they go, the graduates are always the children of the alma mater, which will always follow their growth and development with keen interest.

Zhang Jun, who is the Secretary-General of the STA Alumni Association, happily recalled the time when he gave lectures on basic laws to this class. He said that the alumni association is like a filling station and that the graduates may come back for postgraduate study, training and project-based exchange and are welcome to come back more often.

Some teachers, such as Wang Qi, Zhang Wei, Zhang Dapeng and Ji Zhenhua, who had taught the professional courses or provided teaching support for this class, also came to join the activities and made warm remarks.
