On 14 May, the opening ceremony of the STA Yunnan Industry-Education-Research Practical Training Base, which was jointly established by the Shanghai Theater Academy (STA) and the Publicity Department of the CPC Yunnan Provincial Committee, was held at the Yunnan Arts University. Senior officials of the Publicity Department of the CPC Yunnan Provincial Committee, the Yunnan Provincial Office of Cultural Industries, the Yunnan Provincial Department of Culture, the Yunnan Provincial Federation of Literary and the Art Circles, and Yunnan Arts University attended the opening ceremony together with Mr Lou Wei, Chairman of STA and other members of the STA delegation.
Then, Chairman Lou Wei and the STA delegation participated in the 2018 Yunnan Key Drama Creation Planning Conference, and held a detailed discussion and exchange of views with Mr Luo Jie, Executive Deputy Director-General of the Publicity Department of the CPC Yun Provincial Committee, on the future cooperation and development of the base in the future. The joint establishment of the STA Yunnan Industry-Education-Research Practical Training Base has been the outcome of the full consultation between STA and the Publicity Department of the CPC Yunnan Provincial Committee on the basis of the complementary advantages of both sides in the broad background of the Shanghai-Yunnan cooperation. The opening of the base will create a better platform with better resources for the artistic practice and creative aspiration collection of the teachers and students of STA, and will build bridges and ties for the literary and art exchange between Shanghai and Yunnan and make a greater contribution to Shanghai’s aid and assistance efforts for Yunnan in the area of literary and art.
