From 25 to 30 May 2018, the certification course of the Fitzmaurice Voicework was held in New York, with trainees coming from all over the world who were desirous to become a qualified teacher of the Fitzmaurice Voicework. Besides the master of drama Catherine Fitzmaurice herself, the course also was also taught by nine experts of actor training from top universities around the world including the Yale School of Drama and the University of Connecticut (University of Connecticut) etc. Professor He Yan was the only Asian teacher invited to teach in this course as a guest artist. Professor He Yan conducted his original "open text training" for the trainees, which was well received and highly praised. A very high rating was received in the feedback from the trainees.
Professor He Yan providing training for European and American acting teachers was the first-ever case of its kind in the Shanghai Theater Academy.
