On the morning of 28 May, the Conclusion and Award Presentation Ceremony of the New Era Aesthetic Education Exhibition of the Shanghai Education Expo 2018 was held at the Shanghai Education Press Group. This year’s New Era Aesthetic Education Exhibition of the Shanghai Education Expo was held at the Shanghai Exhibition Center from 16 to 18 April. The 3-day exhibition attracted more than 140,000 visitors and received extensive attention from the media at both national and local levels. The Shanghai Theatre Academy (STA) won the "10 Best Universities" award of the New Era Aesthetic Education Exhibition of the Shanghai Education Expo 2018. Mr Gao Deyi, Deputy Secretary of the CPC Shanghai Municipal Education and Public Health Working Committee and Deputy Director-General of the Shanghai Municipal Education Commission, presented the award to the representatives of the “10 Best Universities”.
With the care and attention of the STA leadership, the CPC Committee and President’s Office, Academic Affairs Office, Publicity Office, Performing Arts Center and other functional departments cooperated fully with the Directing Department ensuring that the STA section of the exhibition hall had its unique style from the concept to the display and from the form to the content and was full of artistic atmosphere and cultural touch. The students of BA Directing 2016 gave full play to the artistic creativity and imagination and brought four original dramatic works to perform onsite at the exhibition, lively and vividly showcasing STA’s teaching achievements in talent cultivation. The performance attracted the attention of many media representatives and visitors to stop and watch, and won unanimous praise and rounds of applause.
