On 12 May 2022, as part of the 5316 series of shared courses and part of the lecture series on film and television creation for the radio and television editing and directing major that were organized by the College of Film of Shanghai Theatre Academy (STA), the lecture entitled “Imagination and Playwriting Methodology for Content Creation Films”, were successfully held online. The specially invited keynote speaker for this lecture was Mr Xu Lei (aka Nanpai Sanshu), the famous writer, screenwriter and chairman of Liangzi Entertainment (representative works "Time Raiders", "They Mystic Nine", "Sand Sea", etc.). The lecture was presided over by Associate Professor Xiao Xiangning. It was mainly for students of the STA College of Film, and also attracted the enthusiastic participation of many teachers, students and scholars from within and without STA and friends from the industry such as Tencent. Professor Li Zhenlin, dean of the STA College of Film, delivered a speech at the lecture.
The keynote speaker of this lecture, Mr Xu Lei, shared his creative experience with the students on the topic of "playwriting methodology for genre films" from five aspects, i.e. “the meaning of creation”, “the definition of terms”, how to achieve the emotion of genre film, “how to cultivate inspiration” and “how to practice writing”.
At the end of the lecture, Mr Xu Lei gave wonderful professional answers to the questions raised by the audience, such as "how to organize writing materials", "whether the creation will be affected by the voice of others" and "how to view the theory of satisfaction point only or the trend of Faloo style in current network literature".
