On the morning of 23 April, 2022, sponsored by the China Tianhan Research Association, co-sponsored by the Shanghai Theatre Academy (STA) and jointly organized by the Shanghai Chinese Opera Culture Collaborative Innovation Center and the STA Chinese Drama Research Center, the "Academic Seminar in Commemoration of the Establishment of the 'China Left-wing Dramatists Union' and the 90th Anniversary of the Left-wing Art Movement" officially began. The conference was divided into three sessions, with 22 experts and scholars making presentations. Due to the pandemic, the conference was held online via Tencent VooV Meeting, with 106 participants joining online.
Zhou Guang, President of the China Tianhan Research Association, presided over the opening ceremony. Guo Chao, Executive Vice President cum Secretary-General and Research Fellow of the China Tianhan Research Association, and Professor Yang Yang, President of China Maodun Research Association and Vice President of the Shanghai Theatre Academy, attended the opening ceremony and delivered speeches.
The first session started at 9.30 am on time and was presided over by President Zhou Guang. The second session was presided over by Song Baozhen, Director of the Drama Research Institute of the Chinese National Academy of Arts, and began on time at 2 pm. The third session was presided over by Guo Chao, Executive Vice President cum Secretary-General and Research Follow of the China Tianhan Research Association.
At the end of the conference, Song Baozhen, Director of the Drama Research Institute of the Chinese National Academy of Arts, and Professor Chen Jun, Director of the Department of Dramatic Literature of Shanghai Theatre Academy, sum up the conference. Finally, Vice President Guo Chao thanked all speakers for their wonderful sharing and the joint efforts of all colleagues and counterparts which made the meeting a complete success, and declared the meeting closed.
