On the afternoon of 21 April, the College of Film of Shanghai Theatre Academy (STA) held the “Spoken Language Communication lecture Series of Broadcasting and Hosting Major" on the topic of “Identified Challenges and Unidentified Responses for Z Generation”, which was the 32nd lecture of the “Pujiang Lecture Hall” program. The lecture was conducted on the online platform in the form of a “cloud meeting”. The keynote speaker was Jiang Changjian, a doctor and associate professor of political sciences at the Fudan University and a famous linkman in China.

Huang Changyong, President of STA, Li Zhenlin, dean of the STA College of Film, Han Yongsheng, secretary of the General Party Branch of the college, and Dong Jian, vice dean of the college, attended and listened to the lecture. Fei Yong, head of the broadcasting and hosting major, presided over the lecture. The lecture attracted teachers and students of all majors in STA, including those from the broadcasting and hosting major of the College of Film, as well as teachers from other colleges and universities. Everyone actively participated in the learning and exchange.

Before the lecture formally began, Fei Yong introduced Jiang Changjian in detail to the participating teachers and students. Dong Jian, vice dean of the College of Film, delivered a welcome speech for the lecture. Then, Huang Changyong, president of the Shanghai Theatre Academy delivered an important speech. As Jiang Changjian's former fellow student in the Fudan University, President Huang Changyong extended a warm welcome and expressed the sincere thanks to Jiang Changjian for overcoming all the difficulties during the pandemic to bring rich and valuable cultural knowledge to the students, and expected him to bring forward-looking suggestions and enlightenment to the students in the new era and under the new circumstances.

In the lecture, Jiang Changjian closely focused on the theme of "Identified Challenges and Uncertain Responses for Z Generation", and elaborated the challenges that young people will face in the "nine sectors" respectively. According to the sequence of "social sector, economic sector, cultural sector, political sector, ecological sector, influence sector, science and technology sector, education sector and real virtual sector", he carried out detailed elaboration and analysis, providing students in the period of growth and development with more perspectives of observing the world and more dimensions of self-improvement. In the interactive Q&A session, the students asked Jiang Changjian about the query about "the high cost of equipment and difficulty in wider application caused by the iterative development of science and technology". Jiang Changjian intelligently answered the students' query by taking "smart phones from birth to popularization and then to grass-roots" as an example.

At the end of the lecture, Li Zhenlin, dean of the STA College of Film, delivered a thank-you speech and expressed his expectation for Jiang Changjian's next lecture at STA. Jiang Changjian also sent his best wishes for the students and expressed the expectations that the students could absorb the contents of the lecture, internalize the knowledge, and embrace the challenging and ever-changing future and world with even more confidence.
