Since the implementation of the lockdown measure of "not stepping out of the room" on the Changlin Road Campus of Shanghai Theatre Academy on 9 April, the Spotlight Anti-pandemic Pioneer Voluntary Service Team composed of students of the College of Film has been responsible for delivering three meals a day for all students on Wednesday, Thursday and Friday.

Meals are delivered according to the floor by a group of two volunteers per floor. One volunteer is responsible for distributing a fixed number of standard meals and chopsticks, and the other is responsible for distributing rice and fruit. Volunteers must ensure that all standard meals are distributed within 20 minutes in an efficient and orderly manner, for which they must have good teamwork and achieve "zero contact" and "zero mistake".

After the meal delivery, the volunteers return the dining cart to the canteen to complete the meal delivery. Then, they go back to the first floor lobby for the disinfection and sterilization of the protective gears, and they do an antigen self-testing on the day, so as to ensure the safety of their own and that of other students around them.

In the voluntary service team, there is also a special squad to delivery halal meals, which is composed of nine students of the Hui, Mongolian and Uygur nationalities. This squad specially provides delivery of halal meals for students of ethnic minority to meet their different dietary habits.

Han Yongsheng, secretary of the general Party branch of the college, and Wang Chunyun, deputy secretary, also quietly put on protective gears and sent the hot meals to the door of each dormitory together with student volunteers, conveying the care and concern of the college to students who keep to their rooms as per the requirements of lockdown.

From 25 April, the volunteer team of the College of Film will start a new week of meal delivery. They will work with other volunteer from the College of Creative Studies to ensure that every student on the Changlin Campus will receive their three meals a day without delay.
