Facing the current severe and complex pandemic situation, as a member of an art university, what should we do and should we do? In this special period, we will truly record every bit of the actions taken by the teachers, students and staff of the Shanghai Theatre Academy. Art is a kind of warmth, art is also a kind of power, art can bring strength to others, and art can also inspire ourselves. Move forward with art! The pandemic is temporary, but art will last forever.
On the Huashan Road Campus of Shanghai Theatre Academy, once the Shangxi Supplies Delivery Squad appears in the student apartment building, the students will be full of anticipation, as the supplies delivery squad comes with such daily necessities as barreled mineral water, facial tissue paper, shampoo, instant noodles and so on.
Recently, according to the unified deployment of Shanghai, all colleges and universities have strictly implemented lockdown management of "not leaving the room". In this case, how to guarantee the basic living supplies for students has become a major issue. The teachers and staff stationed in the Huashan Road Campus have acted quickly to overcome various difficulties and established the Shangxi Supplies Delivery Squad.
Under the leadership of He Liang, director of Logistics and Security Office of the university, and Xu Jun, deputy director of the Department, the Shengle Property team strictly disinfects and sterilized the supplies to enter the campus and let them stand enough time according to the requirements of pandemic prevention and control, so as to ensure the safety of people inside the university. The Student Affairs Office of the university has carefully arranged the work of student counselors in relevant colleges and departments, so that counselors can timely collate and categorize students' needs for various kinds of supplies according to floor numbers; Chen Ying, deputy secretary of the general party branch of the Dramatic Literature Department, Li Zongyu, student counselor of the Stage Design Department, and other teachers, with the support of the Student Affairs Office and the Logistics and Security Office, coordinated the arrangements of allocation, transportation, distributions and other matters. The canteen staff, security team, property team and teacher volunteers joined in this loving care relay of "allocation, transportation and distribution".
After receiving the demand lists, the canteen staff Gao Wenxian and Xu Binli quickly counted the supplies in stock, and did the sorting and picking them item by item specific to each dormitory room concerned, and then carefully packed more than 700 set of supplies in a short time.
Since the beginning of this round of pandemic, the workload of pandemic prevention on campus has increased sharply, and there was a shortage of manpower at a certain time. Zhang Longjun of the Chang’an Security Service Team for the Huashan Road Campus led the security team to take on the task of transporting the supplies. Qian Hongming, the captain of the security team, also quietly participated in the transportation work despite his older age. In the high temperature of 30 degrees in Shanghai, the staff wore muggy "Baymax" protective suits and transported more than 700 sets of supplies to the student apartments in batches.
After all supplies were delivered to the downstairs of the student apartments, manager Liu Jing of the Shengle Property led the property team and teacher volunteers to continue with their work of the next step. Sometimes, they even sent the "sweet gift bags" containing mineral water, instant noodles, shampoo, facial tissue paper and other items to the students’ dormitory rooms one by one in the dark, trying their best to get through the "last 100 meters" of supplies delivery.
The students who received the "sweet gift bags" were excited to express their gratitude and feeling of being moved in Wechat Moments. At present, Shangxi Supplies Delivery Squad has delivered two batches of 734 customized packages of supplies for the students in the Shangxi Student Apartments.
In this sprint of ensuring supplies, all teachers and staff looked out for each other and helped each other, and worked hand in hand and side by side in building a strong backing to ensure the supplies for students.
While you are following the requirement to not leave your room, someone is out there taking good care of you. On the campus of STA during this special period, the teachers and staff are together with you in a changed appearance, while their love and responsibility for you never change.
