Since the middle of March, due to the pandemic, classroom teaching in colleges and universities in Shanghai has all been switched to online teaching. While keep going with online teaching, the teachers of the Shanghai Theatre Academy do not slacken the ideological and political education, and organically integrate the bits and pieces of the anti-pandemic battle into it.
During these special days, Wu Yang, a teacher of the Chinese Opera College of STA, led the “Unique Chinese Zither Band” set up by the students majoring in Chinese zither to produce the anti-pandemic Chinese zither music "We Believe Love Will Win" as their own contribution to the anti-pandemic battle.
"We Firmly Believe Love Will Win" was an anti-pandemic song originally co-produced by the China Federation of Literary and Art Circles, the China TV Artists Association, the China Film Association and the China Musicians Association in 2020. The Chinese zither music rearranged from this song by the students embodies a greater power of classicality and youth.
The video production and editing of the Chinese zither music "We Firmly Believe Love Will Win" was completed by Gu Jiali, a MFA student majoring in Chinese zither at the Chinese Opera College of STA. The video expresses respect for the guardians of colleges and universities in Shanghai including many images of teachers and students of STA during the anti-pandemic battle, which can be called a precious picture scroll of the anti-pandemic battle.
