Since the pandemic came to strike, all the veteran comrades of the party general branch of retired personnel of the Shanghai Theatre Academy have concerned about and participated in the battle against the pandemic in their own way. The party general branch of retired personnel of the Shanghai Theatre Academy, in response to the call of the superior departments and the party committee of the university, has timely conveyed the relevant requirements and information of the university’s pandemic prevention and control to the retired comrades and mobilized them to actively respond to the call, take practical actions in the battle against the pandemic and overcome the difficulties with joint efforts.
Over this period of time, quite many retired party members of the Shanghai Theatre Academy have actively participated in the frontline work of pandemic prevention and control in their local communities. They actively joined the community volunteer teams, with some serving as the leaders of their residential buildings and some putting on the protective suits to take charge of the registration work in the PCR testing for residents of their local communities. The veteran party members said that the community is their own home, and that responding to the call of the municipal party committee and municipal government and doing what they can for the pandemic prevention and control in their local communities is also a reflection of the sense of responsibility and the sense of mission established during their long years of service in the university because of the education by the party organization.
