The outbreak of COVID-19 pandemic has disrupted people's normal life, but there is also a way around, that is, to deal with extraordinary times with a normal mindset and do all the things that should be done with concentration.
At present, the application for projects supported by the national and Shanghai municipal-level art funds has started respectively. In order to better assist the teachers and students of the Shanghai Theatre Academy in applying for art fund supported projects and enable more high quality works to receive support in a precise way, the Artistic Creation Center of Shanghai Theatre Academy recently held an online training workshop.
Holding this workshop at this time is to tell people: Art can't retreat in the face of the pandemic! The more critical the situation is, the more it needs the unremitting efforts of artists.
This online workshop had Professor Zhang Lin, party secretary, vice dean and doctoral supervisor of the STA College of Dance, and Wei Dongxiao, director of the Artistic Creation Center of STA, as the speakers to talked about and answer questions about the application.
Despite the severe situation in pandemic prevention, the enthusiasm of teachers and students was not diminished. More than 100 people participated online, and even some well-known screenwriters and directors who are STA alumni also "sneaked" in and participate in the exchange. The atmosphere of the meeting was very warm.
Under the pandemic, everyone should not stop what has already been planned. No matter it is teaching, scientific research or creation, anything that should be done should be proceeded according to its pace, because the pandemic will be gone eventually and everything will move forward rather than being halted.
