On 3 December, the academic committee meeting of the Ministry of Culture and Tourism’s Key Laboratory of Digital Entertainment Integrated Innovation was held in the International Conference Center on the Changlin Road Campus of Shanghai Theatre Academy. The meeting invited experts and elites in the fields of cultural creation, culture and tourism, performance and entertainment, science and technology and art to gather together to exchange ideas and discuss the future construction and development of the laboratory.
Chaired by Professor Liu Zhixin, director of the key laboratory, the meeting emphasized on the integration of art and science and technology serving the national cultural development strategy, focused on the high-quality development of education under the background of new liberal arts construction, described the trend of cross-specialty and cross-discipline integration brought by a new round of science, technology and industrial transformations, and looked at the future development prospect of the laboratory. Experts, professors, scholars, business leaders from domestic and foreign universities, industry associations and enterprises, including Shanghai Theatre Academy, Tianjin University, Central Academy of Fine Arts, Shanghai Jiaotong University, Shanghai University of Technology, Goldsmiths University of London, New Media Art Committee of China Institute of Stage Design, Showpower etc, attended the meeting and made speeches.
Also at the meeting, an appointment letter conferring ceremony was also held for experts of the Ministry of Culture and Tourism’s Key Laboratory of Digital Entertainment Integrated Innovation.
