Recently, the No. 2 party branch and the No. 4 party branch of functional offices jointly carried out the party day theme activity for November, i.e. "Look for the 12th Person" immersive party history study and education, in the Changlin Road Campus and the Pujiang Country Park.

The party members first came to the Changlin Road Campus where they were guided by Li Zhenlin, dean of the College of Film, for a tour of the filming studio, recording studio and other teaching facilities of the college. They also came to the No. 2 Standard Screening Hall where they watched the short film "The Red Kite". The film is based on the real cases of students in some remote areas of China pursuing their study during the severe period of COVID-19 pandemic in 2020. "The Red Kite" won the awards of "Barcelona International Film Festival - Best Foreign Language Short Film" and "Florence Film Awards - Honorary Mention for Short Film" this year. Duan Ran, one of the main creators of the film, shared his creative experience in shooting this graduation work. The party members were all moved by the profound connotation of the short film and the professional dedication of the main creative team.

Subsequently, the party members went to the Pujiang Country Park to experience the immersive interactive play "Look for the 12thPerson". With the second National Congress of the Communist Party of China as the background, the play tells the story happened in Fude Lane on 16 July 1922 and the unsolved mystery: Who is the 12thdelegateadditional to Chen Duxiu, Li Da and other 11 delegates whose names are already known? At the site, the party members of the two branches watched all parts of the play and completed various tasksin different venues. Finally, facing the party flag, they collectively reviewed the oath on joining the party once again. Look for the 12thPerson is the outcomeof cooperation between our university and the Minhang District on the occasion of the 100th anniversary of the founding of the Communist Party of China. The director, actors and original song creators of this play are all students of our university. The experience session on the day was conducted by the teachers and students of the College of Creative Studies. The performance and commentaryflew smoothly at one go, which won unanimous praise from everyone.

At the end of the party day theme activity, the party members all said that they had a deeper understanding of the difficult and glorious course of the founding of the Communist Party of China from this immersive interactive play, and that they would constantly absorb the strength to forge ahead from the study of party history.
