On the morning of 6 December, Huang Changyong, president of the Shanghai Theatre Academy, personally walked into the ideological and political education class for Year 2021 freshmen of the Department of Dramatic Literature, and gave a special lecture as part of the teaching of the course “Xi Jinping Thought on Socialism with Chinese Characteristics for a New Era”, talking about General Secretary Xi Jinping's important discourse on education and about the topic of art education. President Huang had deep discussions with the students on the Dramatic Literature major, career development and future trend of art development, which was warmly received by the students.
In this special teaching, President Huang adopted an innovative mode of classroom teaching, which included both special lecture and Q&A. In his lecture, President Huang again emphasized the importance of "establishing moral values and cultivating people" and corrected many misunderstandings about education in today’s society. In the context of current era, President Huang Changyong stressed that education is "something of the greatest importance to the country", while art education is an important part of it. On the issue of future employment, President Huang gave a new explanation. In the end, President Huang discussed the original drama “Outpost” that he wrote and shared his own experience. The innovation of stage art is composed of many factors. President Huang also hoped that everyone can integrate into life, stick to their original aspiration, and embrace a better future.
