On the evening of 1 December, the unveiling ceremony for No. 2 Standard Screening Hall of the STA College of Film located in Building 5 of Shanghai Theatre Academy (STA)’s Changlin Road Campus was held.
Han Yongsheng, party secretary of the STA College of Film, presided over the unveiling ceremony. Li Zhenlin, dean of the STA College ofFilm, gave a warm speech, and Wu Chenxi, a student of the STA College of Film, spoke on behalf of the students. Mr Marco Müller, artist director of the Film StudiesCenter of Shanghai University and former president of the Venice International Film Festival, Mr Jan Shütte, professor of the STA College ofFilm and former president of the American Film Institute, and MrKees van Oostrum, professor of the STA College of Film and former president of the American Society of Cinematographers, jointly unveiled the No. 2 Standard Screening Hall of the STA College of Film.
After the unveiling ceremony, Marco Müller, former president of the Venice International Film Festival, talked with the students about his industry experience with famous international film festivals such as Venice International Film Festival, Cannes International Film Festival and Berlin International Film Festival, and shared the insights of film festival organization and planning such as film festival planning and film selection. Mr Marco Müller's lecture "Film Festival Strategies for Young Filmmakers" was a complete success.
In the future, the No. 2 Standard Screening Hall located in Building 5 of STA’s Changlin Road Campus will display the classic works of alumni and award-winning works of students of the STA College ofFilmas well as other classic films from home and abroad, and hold high-level art lectures such as the Boya Film Forum and the Pujiang Lecture Series of STA College of Film.
